IN THIS LESSON

It all starts from JiBěnGong.

JiBenGong (基本功) refers to the basic foundational skills or exercises in Chinese martial arts. These are fundamental techniques and practices that form the basis for more advanced movements and applications in a martial arts system. JiBenGong includes exercises such as stances, basic strikes, kicks, blocks, and movement drills. The purpose of JiBenGong is to develop strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, muscle memory, and most of all, a good habit for biomechanics, ensuring that practitioners have a solid foundation upon which to build their martial arts skills.
